PTFE Syringe Filters consist of a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane and a polypropylene overmolded housing. Available in 13 mm and 25 mm diameters and 0.22 μm and 0.45 μm pore sizes. The Nylon Syringe Filter produced by Aijiren is mostly used for reagent filtration or sample preparation. Nylon Syringe Filter has different specifications. The filter membrane diameter is 13mm, 25mm and 33mm, which can be selected according to the capacity of the sample. Aijiren provides 0.22μm and 0.45. Polypropylene is compatible with acetone, ethyl acetate, methanol, isobutanol, methanol and methyl ethyl ketone. Polypropylene is incompatible with cyclohexane, ether, dichlorobenzene, pentane, methylene chloride and trichlorobenzene. It is recommended to use gas, disinfectant or autoclave to sterilize products made of polypropylene. The maximum operating temperature is 135¡ãC.

Polypropylene (PP) is recommended for one time use only with low vapor transmission. Polypropylene is a rigid plastic that is translucent. At room temperature, polypropylene exhibits excellent chemical resistance to acids, alcohols, and bases. Polypropylene is compatible with acetone, ethyl acetate, methanol, isobutyl alcohol, methanol, and methyl ethyl ketone. Polypropylene is incompatible with cyclohexane, ethers, dichlorobenzene, pentanes, methylene chloride, and trichlorobenzene.

Syringe filter is a small, disposable device used for filtration purposes in laboratories and other scientific settings. It consists of a plastic housing with a membrane filter at one end and a female luer lock or male luer slip connection at the other end, allowing it to be attached to a syringe.
The purpose of a syringe filter is to remove impurities, particulates, or unwanted substances from a liquid sample before it is injected or analyzed. Instructions for use and precautions:
1. It must be used with disposable syringes and glass syringes. The interface is standard. Put the needle filter on the syringe first, then pour the liquid into the syringe, press the push rod down, and collect the filtered liquid.
2. Do not use a syringe smaller than 10cc, because the small-volume column may cause the pressure to exceed the upper limit and cause damage to the filter membrane.
3. Only for laboratory use, one-time use, non-renewable.
4. The filtrate at the beginning of the part should be discarded. The volume is about the dead volume of the filter. Taking 25mm as an example, discard the first 1mL filtrate; or pre-clean the filter with 1 to 2mL of solution.

In HPLC analysis, the particle size of the chromatographic column packing is small and easily blocked by contaminant particles. Therefore, samples and solvents must be pre-filtered to remove particulate contaminants and protect the instrument.

PTFE is hydrophobic and needs to be pre-wetted before being used with aqueous solvents. Used for: corrosive solvents, strong acids, alcohols, alkalis, aromatic hydrocarbons. Not suitable for: water-based samples.
