Polypropylene (PP) is recommended for one-time use only with low vapor transmission. Polypropylene is a rigid plastic that is translucent. At room temperature, polypropylene exhibits excellent chemical resistance to acids, alcohols, and bases. Polypropylene is compatible with acetone, ethyl acetate, methanol, isobutyl alcohol, methanol, and methyl ethyl ketone. Polypropylene is incompatible with cyclohexane, ethers, dichlorobenzene, pentanes, methylene chloride, and trichlorobenzene. Gas, disinfectants, or autoclave are recommended to sterilize products made of polypropylene. The maximum temperature used is 135°C. Aijiren’s PP syringe filter uses a hydrophobic polypropylene membrane, which has stable physical and chemical properties, good compatibility, low protein adsorption, and is suitable for the filtration of aqueous solutions and most solvents. Commonly used to filter biological samples, solvents, and deionized water and reduce biological load, the hydrophobic PP filter membrane is particularly good for gas filtration. The product was sterilized by dry heat at 121°C for 15 minutes.
