The caps of the crimp vial are packed with septa, each with 100 pieces. The cap is made of aluminum for crimping and sealing; plastic (polyethylene, polypropylene or phenolic resin) for non-crimping and sealing. The cap gasket is a septum material that is pierced by the syringe needle to extract the sample from the vial. The cover liner has various configurations and is also made of various materials.
