High quality Glass Test Tube with Screw cap and septa

The Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) test is widely used as a measure of organic contamination by determining the quantity of oxygen required for oxidation of reduced species including organic matter, in a water sample using a specific oxidizing agent, temperature and time reduction. COD testing is a good better indicator of organic pollutants in industrial wastewater containing cyanides and heavy metals. COD testing affords rapid response to changing conditions before critical problems develop. Lovibond’s COD vials are compatible with BOTH Lovibond and Hach® colorimeters.

It is worth noting that if the used COD Tubetests contain strong sulfuric acid and other chemicals, the reagents must be handled carefully. The items in the pipeline should be disposed of in accordance with the requirements of local authorities. These tubes can only be used once and cannot be reused.

Reusing caps and vials opens up the possibility of contamination, from solvent (liquid or vapor) interacting with the septa material as well as the atmosphere. This may seriously impact your analytical results, causes by sample contamination, chemical reaction, or evaporation. Both qualitative and quantitative errors may result, requiring time consuming, expensive, and frustrating troubleshooting and re-work.

Chemical oxygen demand is a vital test for assessing the quality of effluents and waste waters prior to discharge. The Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) test predicts the oxygen requirement of the effluent and is used for monitoring and control of discharges, and for assessing treatment plant performance. The impact of an effluent or waste water discharge on the receiving water is predicted by its oxygen demand. This is because the removal of oxygen from the natural water reduces its ability to sustain aquatic life. The COD test is therefore performed as routine in laboratories of water utilities and industrial companies.

COD Test Tube is one of Aijiren’s main products. It can complete many important experiments, such as digestion colorimetry, water quality test, oxygen demand test, etc. The COD Test Tube produced by Aijiren has high inertness, good quality and stable tube. Aijiren has become a well-known manufacturer of chromatography consumables in southern China by virtue of the good quality of COD Test Tube.

Testing water for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) is no longer exclusive to the environmental industry. With the latest USP methods, TOC is now a concern for any industry using Purified Water and Water for Injection. Aijiren Low Level TOC Vials are specially cleaned and packaged to reduce TOC to the lowest levels possible, assuring a low background for your testing.

The COD Test Tubes produced by Aijiren are often used for chemical oxygen demand detection. The glass used in the COD Test Tubes produced by Aijiren has high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and can well protect the samples without affecting the experimental results. Aijiren’s raw materials are of high quality and production experience Abundant, with favorable product prices, it is a high-quality supplier of chromatographic consumables.

The used COD Tubetests contain strong sulfuric acid and other chemicals, so reagents must be handled carefully. The contents of the pipe should be disposed of in accordance with the requirements of local authorities.
These test tubes are SGC certified. These tubes can only be used once, so they cannot be reused.

Glass test tube is a cylindrical container made of glass that is commonly used in scientific laboratories for holding, mixing, and heating small quantities of liquid or solid substances. Test tubes are usually open at one end and have a rounded or slightly flared bottom. They come in various sizes, ranging from a few centimeters to several centimeters in length.
Test tubes are designed to withstand high temperatures and chemical reactions, making them suitable for a wide range of experiments and analyses.

The COD tube provided by Aijiren uses high-quality glass, which is extremely inert and will not react with reagents. Through Aijiren COD tube test, the time required for the measurement process is greatly shortened, especially for standard analysis and series measurement, which greatly reduces the workload.

COD digestion vials are specialized containers used in chemical analysis for determining the chemical oxygen demand (COD) of a water sample. COD is a measure of the amount of oxygen required to chemically oxidize the organic and inorganic compounds present in the water.
These vials are typically made of high-quality glass or borosilicate glass, which is resistant to chemical reactions and can withstand the high temperatures necessary for the COD digestion process. The vials are designed to hold a specific volume of the water sample and the reagents required for the COD test.

In this test a reagent blank is used instead of the usual water blank referred to in the general photometer operating instructions. The reagent blank is prepared by adding deionised or distilled water to the reagent tube and then digesting the tube in the same manner as for the water sample.
It is not necessary to prepare a reagent blank each time the test is carried out. The reagent blank tube may be prepared weekly and used repeatedly with all samples prepared from the same batch of reagent tubes. The reagent blank should be stored in the dark between uses.

TOC is the abbreviate by Total Organic Carbon. The TOC Direct Method from Aijiren provides a reliable and practical means for water treatment facilities to frequently measure organic carbon to optimize treatment processes. Instead of purchasing an expensive, traditional TOC analyzer or outsourcing TOC determinations to a contract laboratory, this method can provide TOC results — accurately and inexpensively — right at your facility, and without any hazardous waste.

With the Aijiren COD tube test, each user can easily perform highly sensitive and accurate water detection.
The time required for the measurement process is significantly shortened, especially for standard analysis and series measurement, while significantly reducing the workload.
The COD Test tube contains a precise dose of reagent. Therefore, excessive chemical inventory is avoided and work safety is improved.

Details of Chemical Oxygen Demand Test:

2mL of a water or watse water sample are added to a 16mm glass culture tube containing the digestion reagent and a catalyst. The tube is capped with a polypropylene, PTFE lined cap and heated in a block digester at 150C for 2 hours. The orange Hexavalent chromium is reduced to a greenish trivalent chromium. The analytical range for the spectrophotometric method is 5-150ppm (measured at 420nm).

Tube tests for photometric analysis convince by their easy handling and therefore are the first choice for routine, laboratory and process analysis. A maximum in accuracy and precision is granted for the measurement results due to exactly pre-dosed reagents in 16 mm cuvettes and additional reagents.

This COD test tube is designed with precision and functionality in mind. It features a rugged construction that can withstand the rigors of COD testing, including high temperatures and exposure to various chemicals.
