Standard opening screw-thread vials are manufactured from borosilicate glass and have a maximum fill volume of 2 ml.

If the weight, damage, surface inertness, and/or disposal costs of the glass vial are concerned, the vial manufactured from polypropylene is an alternative to consideration. The benefits of polypropylene materials include low extraction rates, compatibility with many solvents, ideal for working with proteins, ideal for ion chromatography applications, ideal for pH-sensitive sample storage, and eliminate the need for inserts during microsampling.

Caps for screw thread vials are available with either an open hole for autosampler use and standard addition or with a solid top for sample storage. While most liquid chromatography autosamplers use 12 x 32 mm vials, the most common HPLC vials are 9 mm screw vials. 9 mm screw vials have openings that are large enough for easy pipetting, but the necks (and closures) are still compatible with most autosamplers in use today.

Our 9 mm Wide Mouth Vials and Closures are our recommended screw thread vials. These vials are autosampler compatible and offer a 40% larger opening than 8-425 thread vials, simplifying pipetting and other routine functions. Since Aijiren produces more machines, many samples need to be checked. Solution to check whether Septa and Cap are damaged, if they are not sturdy, Septa may fall off or fall off easily. The Screw Caps that are inlcuded with this kit are knurled on the sides for excellent gripping and comfort when applyting to the vial. The silicone rubber / PTFE septa used were designed to provide the right amount of resistance to autosampler needles during the injection process so that they penetrate the vial properly without damaging the septa or the injection needle. Too much or too little resistance to the needles can damage the septa, compromise resealing, cause needle blockage from coring of the septa material and even damage your autosampler. These septa perform even when using a wide range of needles: fine, blunt or even dull. Low sample or solvent evaporation performance even after multiple injections have been observed when using aijiren caps.
