The non-pre-slit septas help to reduce carryover from vial to vial because the resealing characteristics of the septum act as a squeegee to wipe solution from the outside of the needle. Typically, a non-slit septum exhibits resealing capabilities for a limited number of needle punctures but for long-term storage in the vial, using a new non-punctured septum is best practice.

The Screw Caps that are inlcuded with this kit are knurled on the sides for excellent gripping and comfort when applyting to the vial. The silicone rubber / PTFE septa used were designed to provide the right amount of resistance to autosampler needles during the injection process so that they penetrate the vial properly without damaging the septa or the injection needle. Too much or too little resistance to the needles can damage the septa, compromise resealing, cause needle blockage from coring of the septa material and even damage your autosampler. These septa perform even when using a wide range of needles: fine, blunt or even dull. Low sample or solvent evaporation performance even after multiple injections have been observed when using aijiren caps.

These vials have an internal tapered bottom which allows the contents to be concentrated at the bottom. Allows more space and larger volumes than concentrating to very small quantities. Ideal for derivatisation or target compounds with very low target concentrations.
