Headspace vials are common consumables generally used in gas phase experiments.  Headspace vials have different capacity specifications, including 6ml, 10ml, 20ml, etc. Use a standard sample vial to ensure sufficient headspace. Usually, the reserved volume should be at least 50% of the sample volume.

Headspace vials are laboratory vials used for headspace analysis and are resistant to high temperatures and corrosion. Headspace vials are made of low extractable borosilicate glass with low expansion, high temperature resistance, high strength, high hardness, high light transmission and high chemical stability.

A headspace vial is used in the process of top – gas chromatography. When detecting volatile or semi-volatile mixtures with high boiling points, we need to heat them to vaporize them at the top.
